This is a very nice headboard. The construction and finish on it are nice, not fine or fancy, but well enough done to be getting on with. Once assembled, it has a good, solid feel to it and looks good.
HOWEVER.
The person who designed it *may* have slept in a queen-sized bed at some point in his life, but that's about all the familiarity I'm prepared to assume he had with the standard.
The headboard is a good deal too wide for a queen sized bed. Specifically, the holes are about two inches too far apart to match up with a standard, queen-sized bed frame. That wouldn't be all that bad if they weren't also about two inches too high to match up with an extra-tall (7.5" high) frame, let alone a standard height one, leaving the buyer to jury-rig some way to mount the thing to a bed.
This is why I don't suggest anyone attempt it who isn't pretty handy and imaginative. Everyone else would probably be better off just bolting the rascal to the...
