good buy
this is an awesome little bench. it's solid wood and feels very sturdy. i assembled it in maybe 5 minutes. all you do is screw on the legs. it takes longer to take it out of the box (it came very well packaged, by the way). i use mine as a place to take on/off shoes and there's a bottom shelf for storing shoes too. it's great for small spaces. it would have been nice if it was a little cheaper, but it's worth it.

Wrong size screws
The product looks and feels heavy and sturdy. But there is a MAJOR problem with the screws. The piece is shipped with eight screws (4 at 45 mm and 4 at 30 mm). The assembly instructions clearly show that the screws for the lower shelf are supposed to be shorter by 15 mm. But they are so short that they do not reach the pre-installed threads in the legs. I had to go to two different hardware stores and pay over $10 to find the right size screws to assemble the pieces. Also, the finish is a strange matt black that will show every little scratch.
Perfect
Great piece, well made and easy to put together. I used it in my home office to place under window and give me space to make piles of my magazines and paperwork. Great price too!
