Expensive, not stable and no customer service to contact!!!
Not stable! Screws got lose after a month!!! My 2 year old son leaned on the table and the the top topple over him. I'm so glad I was there before any serious mishaps could have happened to him. No customer service to call. AMAZON, please do something about this!

Table isn't sturdy
After having this table for 5 months, I now see that the table wobbles.
It's probably because my twin boys stand on it.

I must say, my twins are about 33 lbs each. I haven't caught them both on the table at the same time, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

My table has been through a lot. I'm surprised it's still up. I have seen that kmart offers something similar to this dining table set up for about $200
That's for the bench and the table.

I don't know how well that other table is built, but I sure hope it's built a lot better than this one.

I don't like that my table is messed up. I'll try to see if I can fasten the screws here and there, and I will update this review later.

For now, I rate this 3 stars. Coming from a home with crazy twins that like to stand on tables, and dance to Yo, Gabba, Gabba.

Happy customer
When this table arrived, there was some damage visible on the underside of the tabletop. After putting the table together we saw there was a crack along one whole side of the top - bad enough that you could actually move it up and down. I had a glass top from a previous table, so we put that on top but I was very concerned about the stability of the tabletop. Knowing that I couldn't box up the damnaged top and ship it back, I send an email detaling the damage, but didn't expect any action on my complaint. To my great surprise, I received a reply quickly and was given a number to call to get another tabletop delivered to me at no cost. What a wonderful service. I have received the second tabletop and now can use my table without fear of part of it falling apart. Great service and really nice table!

big bang for the buck
great table for the price- easy to assemble, all parts included, thicker pedestal for a more pricey look. For this price bracket, when I comparison shopped, I couldn't find a better bang for my furniture buck-
Beautiful, Solid, Easy to put together
We purchased the Home Styles Wood Dining Table and 2 sets of side chairs. I was a little nervous making such a purchase online, but I knew these looked like the style I wanted and I was unable to find anything like them locally. I'm so glad I made the purchase. They are all so nice. They are solid, sturdy pieces. I love the contrast between the black and oak. The table and chairs really look like high end pieces. It took my husband about an hour to put together the table and four chairs. Definately worth the price. Love this item!

Nice desk, but lots of e-mails to customer service required
The final product looks like it will be just as pictured. For the most part, the holes are drilled in the correct places; the directions are good; and the pieces are labelled correctly. Unfortunately, the product comes in several boxes, and the quality from box to box varies. The first box was excellent. The second box was OK. The third box was missing a piece and hardware (two right sides of the drawer were included with no left side). The fourth box had a cracked piece. The customer service e-mail address is included with the directions, and they have shipped the pieces needed to complete the desk; but in the meantime, the office has been taken over by a large wooden jigsaw puzzle rather than being finished in a day or two as it could have been if everything had been correct the first time. I'm not sure I would buy this again, but once it is done, I think it will be fine.

Worst "put it together yourself" project, ever
This desk is moderately attractive, but thats it. Hopefully the desk will last long enough for us to justify the effort. We are experienced at putting together furniture, but this was the worst experience my husband and I have ever had with furniture assembly. Slow shipping. Poor quality plywood/pressswood contrstruction with laminate coating. Metal components cheaply manufactured. Some of the brackets were installed wrong by the factory and we had to fix them oursleves so the desk could be assembled according to directions. Multiple broken parts upon initial delivery. Requests for fast-shipment of replacement parts ignored by customer service staff. It took us 4 weeks from date of order until project was completed. I would have been better served buying a quality product that was made in the USA and assembled by a professional.
Great desk - lot's of effort to assemble but worth it
I was hesitant to purchase this desk after reading some of the reviews from previous buyers but, fortunately, decided to discount them and move forward. We were impressed with the quality of the wood when we opened the boxes, while the number of pieces may clear the effort ahead. It took hours to assemble the desk, mostly by one person with some assistance when extra hands were required. All the pieces were in the boxes (4 altogether) and in good shape. Everything fit together as indicated in the instructions, with some fit so tight that it took some time to put sections together. The finished product is everything we hoped when we picked out the desk and clicked to order.

Comes with a broken leg, but company made good.
After ordering and receiving a desk from Sauder which turned out to be a piece of junk further compromised by careless FedEx handling, I was excited to order this desk. Solid wood, good reviews, free shipping, what more could I ask. Unfortunately, one of the legs arrived broken. To be fair, I must say two things: 1) the packaging was great, three separate boxes, each piece appeared securely wrapped, and, 2) I just got off the phone with Home Style Customer Service and they are shipping out a new leg tomorrow which I should have in a day or two. What is together so far looks great, nice pieces of wood, secure connections, easy to follow instructions. If the leg were not broken, I think I would probably be able to give it five stars. I'll update this review when the whole thing gets together. I know "things happen" and a broken leg does not mean it is not a good product, but we seem to be falling down in quality control.

Great desk, but not a good "computer" desk
This is a great looking desk and the quality of the materials is excellent too. I am also pleased with the customer service and the instructions to put it together. However, the instructions could use just a bit more clarity or the sticker placement could be improved. It also took a LONG time to put it together, but that's not even a problem in my book. The biggest problem is the computer keyboard leaves no room for a mouse! If you plan on spending a lot of time at the desk, then your keyboard will be in the tray and your mouse on the desk top, leaving for a rather uncomfortable ergonomic situation. I am not going to return it, but I wish there was a comfortable work-around for a mouse pad area that is level with the keyboard tray.
Very nice
I looked for a week to find the right desk. I first found the same desk on a different site for 680$. Then sears had it for 508$ but they charged 100+ for delivery. Then I found it on amazon for 498$ shipping included. That alone was great. Web site gave shipment date of 22-29 and I received it yesterday the 13th. My mom and I worked and had it put together in 1 1/2 hrs. Directions were easy to understand and follow. I wanted a desk that was solid wood not laminate. And one that didnt look older and huge. I really found the perfect desk for me and would recommend it and amazon to anyone
