great bunks
when we got married we joined together and became a family with 6 kids , so with 2 kids in each room, we needed bunk beds, these beds are great, very sturdy, our younger kids are 3, 3, 5, and 6, i love that the ladder comes off and doesnt require that you bolt it down, because i take them off during the day so the little ones arent able to climb on top bunk. great beds, and if you need a bunk bed without spending 800 dollars for this identical be at a furniture store (which we did look at about 6 different stores they are priced outrageous) i would buy this one!!!

Bunks
I ordered the bunks for my grandson who was graduating to a big bed. Since we needed one also the bunks were logical. They were REAL WOOD and beautiful. They were assembled in less than an hour. Very lightweight for moving but very sturdy. Beautiful all over. Arrived quickly and very good price for such a nice item.
Happy kid
My kid is happy. I'm happy. Sufficiently sturdy. Instructions give weight limit that was below my weight for upper bunk, but anyway a kid sleeping in it, so no worries. Seems sturdy enough. Ladder side is reversible. Comes as a box full of boards, you'll want a power tool for the assembly.

Love it!
I am finally able to assemble this buffet and hutch, it arrived a couple days ago and with my busy schedule it is difficult to get time to do this sort of thing. I am SO IMPRESSED. One must remember when buying unassembled furniture that the construction is great as long as 2 things are present; great material and the person assembling the furniture takes their time and takes care while assembling the furniture. I must say that the directions though are a little surprising... very little steps, not very detailed in the pictures that are shown and leaves too much up to guessing. Some times like, insert all cam-locks and cam lock screws, would have been nice... things I should have picked up from doing other assemblies though and should have realized with the lack of directions that this should have been a part of it.

The rollers for the drawers are metal and built to last. And it is SO NICE that there is not a beam between the doors meaning it will hold larger items...

Buyer beware
Thought this item was going to be great. It was up until I opened the box. It says
that the color has a cherry finish. It comes in three different boxes and the only thing
that was cherry was the counter top. The buffet and hutch were a darker wood color that
does not match the counter. The counter was a nice cherry finish with glaze and the buffet
and hutch were not shiny glaze like the counter. If you try to send it back, better hope you live in CA. I live in
VA. and the shipping would cost over $80 of my own money for two of the boxes since the weight of
each is over 75 lbs. Since Homestyles have not returned any phone or email messages, I am left to spend my own
money sending it back. Stacks and stacks is the company that contacts Home Styles when there is a product
return. They are great. They contacted me twice and let me know that phone messages and emails have been
left everyday for Home Styles, but to no avail. Not even...

Nice screen - measures just shy of 68"
I needed a screen shorter than 70". This lists the height as 69", but it's actually just shy of 68" (just measured it). That's fine with me.

It's solidly built, attractive - a nice buy. Realize, the fact that it has shutters means that you can still see through it a bit. Something I have to live with because I needed something a particular height - it's hard to find screens that are less than 70" tall.

Better than I imagined !
It's always hard buying furniture online without seeing it. But this screen is amazing, the fine louvers are controlled by a switch on top of each screen. Which enhances your room by giving it different 'looks'.
I am an Interior Designer and I am happy to have this in my home, it exceeds anything you can find in Pier 1 and it's half the price.
Also shipping was fast, under a week to Utah.

Like it a lot
We bought this buffet cabinet two years ago from Amazon and really like it. It looks fantastic in our dining area and is great for storing our wine glasses in the glass door portion. Makes for great storage for some of our serving pieces in the doors at the bottom. My main complaint is that the drawers are very small and not useful for much. Also, be aware that you will likely have to attach the unit to the wall to keep it from tipping over (especially if you have young children, like we do). It does come with the attachments. Overall, the quality is good and it looks great and we are glad we bought it.

The hutch and buffet arrived in 3 boxes. 2 boxes had a ton of pieces in them. They were all labelled but the directions relied mostly on overview pictures and less step by step instructions.

A friend helped me put this together which most likely saved my existing relationship.

The hutch/ buffet are of good quality, but I will say the drawers are small and wouldn't hold a standard size silverware tray, which is what I was looking for.

Overall this is worth the money and just requires a clear head and patience to put together.
Great product and looks awesome!
I was a little nervous spending almost $500 on a piece of "put together furniture", but this is the only one I could find that I really liked, and would suit the space well.

Well, I couldn't have asked for anything better. My husband put it together (by himself) in about 3 hours. It looks like it's from a high priced furniture store - the cherry matches perfectly with what I already had.

The packaging was solid - nothing was damaged or broken, and got it earlier than I thought too! I can't stop looking at it!

Slow Delivery - Broken Parts - Worst Service. Ever.
OK, I admit Amazon has taught me to expect fast delivery, so I'm bound to be incredulous when a vendor takes Two Weeks to ship.
So I practice my patience skills, am really happy when it arrives but lo and behold - pieces are broken! Not bent or scratched, but broken...as in snapped in half where the dowel holes are.

I contacted South Shores via email, specified the part required, they asked for more info, I gave them all the codes and part numbers they need, get told to wait for a confirmation and then guess what - nothing, no response, nada. I followed up and what do you know, no record I'd ever exchanged emails with them. So I had to give them all the details again - and - wait for it - it will take another Two Weeks to ship the replacements. I asked them if they could expedite and the girl reluctantly said she'd make it a 'priority' order so it will get shipped out 'sometime this week' rather than waiting the 'standard 10 days' before being 'processed'. Basic "starter" bed
Very basic bed. Bought this as a "big bed" for my 3-year-old. The drawers slide on plastic runners that fit into grooves on the sides of the drawers, so they don't open or close very smoothly, especially in high humidity. My daughter sometimes needs help to open or close them by herself. Otherwise, they are fairly sturdy and provide ample storage space. The knobs on the drawers are painted tan to match the color of maple wood. They are not actually varnished raw wood. Not a big deal for me, since I plan to paint them white to match the bed and other furniture in her room anyway. I also would suggest gluing the knobs in place since the screws easily strip out the wood causing them to fall off easily. If you can live with the minor frustrations, the bed is a good, inexpensive option for a child. I wouldn't suggest it as a piece to last a lifetime.

Nice Headboard
I bought this for my mother whom I had to recently place in an assisted living facility. She needed a few extra shelves for knick knacks and books and she truly loves how it looks. Very easy to assemble, and the price was perfect. Would recommend to others.

Sturdy, well-made; CEVA Excellent
This table is one of my tip-top best Amazon bargains, of very high quality and sold elsewhere for well over $300. It shipped for only $3.49 in a matter of four days! I read every review I could find about the shipper Amazon designated, CEVA, and although a few were negative, I had amazing service from them. The huge package (87 pounds) was put exactly where I asked for it, not a single ding on the box. I called ahead to tell CEVA I would not be home. Their phone people were polite and helpful. They very cordially asked me to leave a signed note - no big deal - and they hauled it up an icy driveway, then up icy stairs. I am very pleased to get the item within four days. (Now, FedEx may not have done that and would have charged more!) The table is a well-designed, perfectly crafted piece of furniture, a super find. If Amazon offers it again, I highly recommend buying it, with no shipping concerns at all.

Color not as depicted!
I was not at all impressed with this table! If I had seen the color of it before my husband had put the whole thing together, I would have returned it. Thank God it's going into a rental property and not my house! It is NOT your typical "natural" color of wood. The color is PEACH! IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRID!!!

was packed damaged
This buffet requires assembly and we were quite puzzled when there was no instructions how to put one of the planks at the bottom of the buffet. In addition it was strange that one (front) plank was already attached and another (back) was not. Then we could find only three remaining screws while there are five holes. After closer look we found out that two screws are inside the plank, and one of the screws is broken. And the bottom of the buffet looked like the plank was just ripped off. Also one of the inner parts is badly scratched and slightly painted over. I was strongly considering returning the buffet, but we desperately needed something in our kitchen, so we could not wait another two-three weeks for receiving a new one.

So, overall, I like the buffet, it's made of good wood and even wine rack is solid and not flimsy. However, if you order it, check VERY carefully for damage!

So far so good
My only gripe is the time it took to put together. I'm not the handiest, so I'll put more of the blame on myself. Good sturdy product and doesn't look cheap.
Attractive but hard to assemble & missing parts
I just assembled this buffet. The Middle Panels were mislabeled, and middle panel C was missing the plastic inserts on the 2 outer holes to that the cam lock screw could screw into it. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying wood dowels and putting them in the holes. Hopefully this will be enough to hold the shelf in place.
The 3 drawer handles came with screws and handles in a bag. One of the handles had the wrong screws (they were too short). I had to call to get the correct screws. Not an easy piece to assemble, but very attractive once it's all together. It scratches easily as well, so assemble with care.

Read the dimensions carefully. This is the second rocking chair that I have bought. The first one was more comfortable, but its seat was made up of springs, fastened with large staples. They started coming loose during the first two weeks. I'm 5'7 and weigh 170. Yes, I'm overweight. With this chair, I have about 3 1/2" of space left. The length of the seat supports me only about half way up my thighs. The seat cushion I placed on it hangs 2 1/2" inches over the front of the seat. My back is not shaped like the back of the chair, either. So I added a back cushion, which just makes my legs hang over even more. I found out today that unless I exert a lot of effort, the chair won't rock back. (I haven't been home in while.) What I'm saying is that manufacturers are doing a poor job of telling people what sizes their chairs will support. If you have short legs and a butt of no more than 36" and weigh no more than 150, then this might be your chair. It is beautiful, but impractical for most...

Very Nice Quality Chair for Shorter people
The quality of the chair is excellent! It's solid and nicely finished. The assembly was simple and quick. Six screws attach the top to the bottom and thats it! They even include the wrench.

For me this chair is ideal. I'm only 5'4" and have short legs. This chair is fairly low to the ground. The seat is about 15 inches from the floor (I think a standard chair is 18 inches.) My feet touch the ground which I'm very pleased about. The chair seat is wide and roomy and, for me, it reaches to about 3/4 of the length of my thigh...a couple inches above my knee. An extra inch or so on the depth would be good but I'm not unhappy the way it is.

I would highly recommend this chair for shorter people. Those of us vertically challenged love finding chairs that our feet don't dangle from. People with longer legs will probably not be happy with it.

i love this rocking chair ! i'm 5'1 and this fits me. when ever i've used other rocking chairs in the past its been awkward. but the Carolina is perfect if you too are a little shorter than average. the seat is good size too. my son is two years old and likes to be rocked to sleep, this seat in great for that. it has enough room for me to hold him on my lap. this is 'mommys chair' and i love to sit on this chair when chilling out, i prefer it over the couch. i might get a cushion for it later but not in any hurry because its fine as is. the wood seems sturdy enough and the color is the same as the picture. it ships and arrives in a timely fashion and my husband said that it was pretty easy to assemble. i'm really enjoying it and definitely recommend it.
