Highly ImpressedI purchased 2 of these chairs, despite my concern about buying sight unseen, over the internet. They arrived within a few days of the order; one chair was in perfect condition, but the other was damaged, possibly in transport. Amazon made it so incredibly easy to return and within a few days I had a new chair, in perfect condition. I've only been using the chairs for 2-3 weeks, so can't attest to long term durability, but so far, they appear well made and sturdy. The chairs are attractive and comfortable. If I can make room for more, I intend to purchase 2 additional chairs. I would recommend the chairs for their great quality and price and Amazon for their excellent service.
Passes snob testI am a furniture snob and I hate particle board anything or cheap cutting corners... well you know the stuff. These are solid wood and are very nice looking and feel of quality. Very pottery barn without having to buy the whole barn. Very strong and sturdy. I put some sticky felt circles from wal mart on the bottoms of the legs as not to scratch the hard woods.
Multi-functionalI bought this chair to go with the soft white Adams desk sold both on Amazon and Target, and it is more than I imagined. The chair blends beautifully with the architecture of the desk, and the colors are virtually indistinguishable. I use it in a rather small (miniscule) office space in my bedroom. Also, the chair is pretty sturdy. I weigh roughly 180lbs, and I allowed a family member who weighs well over 200lbs to sit in the chair, and it never creaked. If you have hardwood floors invest in felt covers for the legs as the chair does not come with any.
